Fire warden training

Are you looking for an opportunity to support BHHC in a practical, hands-on way? 

​

You can train to be a Fire Warden and BHHC will refund the course fee upon presentation of the course fee receipt.

​

What does it require?

  • Access to a computer

  • Just 90 minutes of your time

​

What will you gain?

  • ​Knowledge that you can support BHHC in a practical way during events or services

  • Understanding of key UK fire safety legislation for non-domestic premises

​

Shabbat 6 June 2026

On Shabbat 6 June, the Kiddush is generously sponsored by Rachelle Silver (BHHC DSL) on the occasion of her special birthday!

Congregants are warmly invited to join the Kiddush at the culmination of the service on Shabbat 6 June 2026.

Halacha shiur on the laws of shabbat

Join Rabbi Rader at Shul for a special Shabbat Shiur that explores the Halacha of the Laws of Shabbat. 

​

Weekdays after Shacharit

Shiur after Shacharit

Join Rabbi Rader for a shiur after Shacharit (the daily prayer service in the morning) every weekday morning, from Monday to Friday. Current times for Shacharit are listed on the Shabbat & Service Times page. 

​

Light refreshments including tea and coffee are served. 

​

There is no charge for this Shiur. Please let the BHHC shul office know by phone or email if you would like to join.

Wednesday lunchtimes @ 1 PM

Lunch & Learn 

Join Rabbi Rader each Wednesday lunchtime at 1 PM (1 o'clock) at Brighton & Hove Hebrew Congregation for a weekly Wednesday discussion group. Topics are released the previous Friday and cover a broad variety of Kosher subjects, often relating to contemporary life.

​

​The cost is £7.50 and includes a light lunch. Please book through the Shul office, contact details for which are found at the bottom of every page on the BHHC website.
